Genshin 4.0 is set to be released on August 16th, and with it, we will see the new explorable region Fontaine, and this update is only three weeks away. Hoyoverse 4.0 will see Lyney as a new five-star character and Lynette and Freminet as new four-star characters on the playable roster. 4.0, we will only get one new five-star banner, and the other three banners will be reintroduced. Genshin 4.0 banners
We do know that Yelan, Child and Zhongli are expected to be rerun characters in version 4.0. Zhongli is a Geo Archon character, but many players don’t have him, so they can save some Primogems for him, as he can be picked up in 4.0. And another player may want to get his constellation. You guys still have a few days to go, as we will see his banner in the second phase of version 4.0.
Since HoYoverse 4.0 will release the new Hydro region, you can save a lot of Primogems for it until the second phase starts. Zhongli is known to be the most powerful shielder in the game so far. So he’s best suited for support but can be turned into a strong burst sub-DPS. As he can fit into almost any team comp and serve as a valuable unit, he no longer fits the Dendro meta.
Genshin 4.1 banners
Genshin 4.1 banners will be the next patch after 4.0 and will release on 27th September 2023. 4.1 will also reportedly introduce some new regions from Fontaine and reward players with plenty of Primogems.
Two new characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillette, have been confirmed for release in 4.1. Wriothesley will be the first phase in 4.1, while Neuvillette is said to be the second phase in 4.1. Apart from them, two other rerun characters, Hu Tao and Raiden Shogun, are expected to be reruns in 4.1. Raiden Shogun has become one of the most important characters, as he fits in perfectly with the new Dendro meta. And even if Hydro changes things in the future, he still plays a pretty useful role. So he could get a character, and of course, he would be the Electro Archon. The most important reason is his booba sword. Anyway, it’s good news that Zhongli and Raiden Shogun are returning. And even if the HoYoverse swaps Zhongli with Raiden in 4.0, which is highly unlikely, you’ll still be able to save enough Primogems.
